I believe that therapy is for everybody. For me, therapy is a process. My approach is client-centered, and I am warm, empowering, and affirming. You will find a safe place to explore, express, and process your needs, and you will be free to discuss anything in as much or as little detail as is comfortable for you. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that meets your needs and guides you toward healing and growth.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My theoretical approach is client-centered. I come from a Jungian perspective and believe that it takes time to discover and express your needs; growth and healing take place best in a safe environment and in a therapeutic alliance with an understanding and empowering counselor.

What you can expect from our first session

At your first session, we will complete some paperwork, discuss your reason for coming to counseling, explore your personal history that is pertinent to successful counseling, and begin identifying a specific goal for your journey. The first session will always be different from the rest of your sessions, as it is the start of the client-therapist relationship. Your therapist is paving the way and creating a specific counseling approach catered just to you and your needs.

As we move along in the journey towards a healthier you, each session may be different, though your needs will always be at the center. Together, we will work toward your identified therapeutic goal. Some days you will find coping strategies, while other days will be more about self-discovery as you learn about yourself and begin to grow into the best version of you.

SandPlay Therapy

Sandplay Therapy is a nonverbal therapeutic intervention that utilizes a sandbox, toy figures, and sometimes water to create miniature worlds that reflect a person’s inner thoughts, struggles, and concerns. This is a form of Play Therapy.
